Thanet Health Research Hub

Research is crucial for advancing patient care and enhancing GP practices by providing access to additional resources. Many PCNs and GP surgeries lack the assets and expertise to manage research projects effectively, making them less attractive to larger research groups and unable to fully exploit available opportunities.

The Thanet Health Research Hub has been created to streamline research processes, increase research opportunities, enhance patient care, facilitate learning opportunities and optimise potential resourcing and financial support.

The Thanet Health Research hub furthers and facilitates commercial research projects by offering single access to a wider range of participants and research commodities than a single surgery or PCN could.

As a collaboration the Thanet Health Research hub also enables its member practices and their staff and associated trainees and learners to take part in research as much or little as they would like, aiming to create a culture of research across Thanet for staff and participants alike.

The Thanet Health Research Hub follows all the relevant regulations and guidance for the protection of participants and staff, ensuring that any project is for the benefit of all.

It also will taking part actively in developing the wider strategies in line with the intentions of the 10 year NHS plan, the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) priorities, the work of the Research Delivery Networks (RDN), the universities, the National Association of Primary Care but first of all, the interests of our population.

  • Thanet Health Research Hub – Made Simple

The Thanet Health Research Hub helps doctors and nurses learn more so they can take better care of patients. Some doctor’s offices don’t have the money or people to do big research projects, so this hub was made to help.
